Sakina is the founder and visionary behind Xerenity Xi. Born in Jamaica but growing up in the UK, Sakina experienced both cultures and embodied the diversity of style and fashion. She has a lengthy history in the fashion industry, starting out as visual merchandiser and stylist for popular retail stores, she then moved on to opening her own small womenswear boutique. Sakina graduated from UAL with a fashion styling and production degree in 2020 and unfortunate circumstances meant she had to close her boutique business. This was a tough year as covid was rife and there was so much uncertainty. She gave birth to her daughter in 2021 after a difficult pregnancy and began to rebuild her life. Motherhood was challenging and the once confident, stylish, fashionista lost her spark, confidence and dare I say, style. She began her teaching career with the hopes of one day finding her old self. Throughout the obstacles, her daughter, Xariah, kept her grounded and gave her a reason to persevere. After years of building new connections, designing collections and working with agencies internationally she composed the rebirth collection. Signifying her own rebirth. Rediscovering her love for fashion, her passion for making people look and feel good through styling and her enriched experience of navigating life’s obstacles, Sakina launched Xerenity Xi. She believes women are truly divine, and with all that life throws at them, somehow, they find the strength to push through and show up, so why not show up in style and exhibit just how royal you are. Sakina’s vision is to make women of all bodies, sizes and backgrounds look and feel like royalty.
